Drug raid of Butler Township home uncovers about 11,000 stamp bags of suspected heroin

Tammy Macefe of Butler Township, charged with felony drug possession in Butler Township.

About 11,000 stamp bags of suspected heroin along with suspected methamphetamine, pills and approximately $14,000 in currency were seized from a home last week in Butler Township, state police said.

Homeowner Tammy L. Macefe, 51, remains in the Butler County Prison on $250,000 bond stemming from the Sept. 30 raid on Harrison Avenue. She is facing felony drug possession and other charges.

A vice unit investigation, during which police allegedly conducted multiple controlled drug buys, led to a search warrant that officers executed around 6:40 p.m. at the home that is the last one on a dead-end road.
