Butler County had 20 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported Thursday by the Pennsylvania Department of Health, and the Butler County Area Vocational-Technical School reported its second case.

The number of cases in the county increased by 20 from Wednesday to 1,075 Thursday and the number of probable cases increased by four to 124, according to the department. The death total remained unchanged at 25. The number of negative tests increased by 238 to 23,375.

The vo-tech said Thursday that parents were notified Wednesday about a positive case. On Monday, the vo-tech said it informed parents Friday about a confirmed case.
