Helicopter called to head-on collision in Clinton Twp
CLINTON TWP — A medical helicopter was called to a head-on collision on Saxonburg Boulevard Wednesday evening.
Saxonburg Boulevard is closed starting at the McKay Road intersection and going south following a crash between a pickup truck and a car.
According to Saxonburg Fire Chief Chris Dean, four people were involved. An older man was driving the truck and a younger woman was driving the car with two children inside.
Dean said no one at the scene was seriously injured and everyone was able to get out of the vehicles unaided.
One person was flown to a hospital as a precaution. Everyone else was checked out at the scene by ambulance, according to Dean.
Two tow trucks arrived around 5:15 p.m. The road is expected to be closed for the rest of the evening. State police are currently investigating the crash.
