Big band Christmas CD offered
The Christmas album by Butler native and bandleader Glenn Crytzer came out last year, but it’s worth mentioning again.
“Underneath the Mistletoe” features 20 songs, and Crytzer is responsible for the music direction and arrangements on all of them.
Tracks include “Deck the Halls,” “It’s a Wonderful Life,” “Toyland,” “Jolly Old Saint Nicholas,” and “I Saw Three Ships Come Sailing In.”
Crytzer will be personally sending out CDs that are available at www.glenncrytzer.com/underneath-the-mistletoe. The Christmas CDs are expected to sell out.
On his website, visitors can also subscribe to livestream concerts by Crytzer and some of his Syncopators bandmates. CDs are being made of the concerts too.
Crytzer, a 1999 Butler High School graduate, is a New York City-based bandleader, arranger, composer, guitarist, and vocalist.
He has released other albums with his sextet, The Syncopators, and even more with the expanded version of this group, The Savoy Seven.
His quartet, The Glenn Crytzer All-Stars, performs in New York City.
In 2017, his big band was named Best Group in New York in the NYC Jazz Awards.
