North Boundary Road to close temporarily to remove bridge
North Boundary Road in Cranberry Township will be closed for two days in January for the removal of a temporary Interstate 79 bridge.
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation said the road will be closed from 6 a.m. Jan. 16 to Jan. 18 while the temporary I-79 northbound bridge is removed.
To detour, motorists should travel east on North Boundary Road, right on Marshall Road, right on Rowan Road, right on Route 19 Perry Highway North and right on North Boundary Road.
This is phase 5 of a two-year, $14.6-million project in which bridges on I-79 from mile marker 80.5 to mile marker 81.4 have been replaced with twin, two-lane, single span, composite steel multibeam structures over the past two construction seasons.
