Man sentenced for Petrolia bar attack
A Fairview Township man was sentenced to jail for attacking a bar patron in Petrolia last year and breaking the 57-year-old man's arm.
Elijah Shawn Myers, 22, who pleaded guilty to aggravated assault on Nov. 10, was sentenced Thursday by county Judge Timothy McCune from 6 to 23 months in jail, followed by two years of probation.
Myers must also serve 25 hours of community service and pay two restitution orders. One is for more than $500 to the victim and another is for more than $1,200 to the victim compensation fund.
