Irmgard Poeppel

Irmgard “Irma” Johanna Lina Poeppel, 97, of Cabot passed away on Dec. 16, 2020, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries in Cabot.

Born July 21, 1923, in Quakenbruck, Germany, she was the daughter of Friedrich Heinrich Goeke and Anne Frieda Wilhemine Hanheide.

Irma was a seamstress in Germany, and was a homemaker.

She was a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot,

She enjoyed gardening and being a seamstress.

Surviving are two sons, Fred O. (Janet) Poeppel of Conneaut Lake, Pa., and Norm H. (Carolyn) Poeppel of Saxonburg; eight grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, Otto F. Poeppel, who passed away Oct. 26, 2001.

POEPPEL — Private graveside services for Irmgard “Irma” Johanna Lina Poeppel, who died Wednesday, Dec. 16, 2020, will be held at St. Luke Cemetery.

A public memorial service will be held at a later date.

Arrangements were entrusted to Fox Funeral Home, Saxonburg.
