One injured in two-vehicle collision in Center Township
One person was injured in a two-vehicle collision this morning at Route 8 and Route 308 in Center Township.
The crash happened about 6:20 a.m., state police said, when a pickup truck turning left from Route 308 onto Route 8 south collided with a car headed north on Route 8.
Police said they are investigating which of the drivers apparantly ran a red light.
The driver of the car, a woman believed to be in her 30s or 40s, suffered unknown injuries. She was taken by Butler Ambulance Service to Butler Memorial Hospital. The driver of the pickup, a man believed to be in his 60s, was not injured.The Unionville Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene, and helped in traffic control. The road closed a portion of the intersection for about an hour.The truck and car, a Subaru Legacy, were both badly damaged and had to be towed.
