Chester L. Dellen
Chester L. Dellen, 79, of Butler, passed away on Tuesday, Dec. 22, 2020, at his residence.
He was born Dec. 13, 1941, in Butler, and was the son of the late Frederick Martin and Virginia Mae (Gladd) Dellen.
Chester was a U.S. Navy veteran and a U.S. Army reservist who loved telling his military stories.He retired from Armco as a truck driver, and also drove a bus for the Catholic Daughters of America and the Vagabonds.Chester was a wonderful cook and baker, who was known for his kindness and generosity.Surviving are his four sons, Rick (Nona) Stepp, Marty (Jonann) Dellen, Ret. Master Chief Patrick (Cathy) Dellen and Matt Dellen; four grandchildren, Shannon (Zach) Filtz, Amber (Adam Sluk) Scott, Polina Dellen and Luda Dellen; two great-grandsons, Killian Sluk and Lucas Dellen; and his loyal companion, his dog, Precious.He was preceded in death by his wife, Aysha Mary (Harrer) Dellen, who died July 6, 2015; a daughter, Tracey Dellen; and his sister, Twila Angert.DELLEN — Services and burial will be private for Chester L.
