Judith Ackerman
Judith “Judy” Lynn Ackerman, 65, of Penn Township passed away on Saturday, Dec. 26, 2020.
She was born Aug. 17, 1955, in Aurora, Ill., and was the daughter of the late Stanley Myers and Ethelmae Tansey.
Judy was a faithful wife, mother, friend, and a true follower of Jesus. She was a joy to be around and always brought laughter to a room. Above all else, she put her heart toward Christ and her beloved family.
She was the loving wife of David R. Ackerman for over 28 years; mother of Joy Lemmer, Caleb Ackerman and Gilbert Ackerman; and the sister of Scott (Mary) Myers and Mark (Mary) Myers.
Two Bible verses that defined her marriage and family were, “Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it.” Ephesians 5:25; and “She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs without fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise and she gives instructions with kindness. She carefully watches everything in her household and suffers nothing from laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her: There are many virtuous and capable women in the world, but you surpass them all!” Proverbs 31:25-29.
