Raymond Weiland

Raymond H. Weiland, 83, of Butler passed away Jan. 2, 2021.

He was born Oct. 4, 1937, in Butler, and was the son of the late Harold and Ethel Dreda (Grahm) Weiland.

Raymond retired from Coca-Cola in 1991, as a truck driver. He worked at Coca-Cola for 37 years.

He then became a snowbird of Stuart, Fla. for 30 years.

He belonged to Butler Elks 170 for 61 years, and was a life member.

Raymond was an avid golfer, and he belonged to several golf leagues throughout his career. Raymond was noted to be one of the best golfers in Butler for several years. He won the Butler County Open three times.

Along with his brother and sister, they owned and operated the County Line Tavern for 19 years, before they decided to sell.

Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife, Patricia Weiland; one sister, Nancy Coyle; one daughter, Cheri (Tom) Kick Lighter of Annapolis, Md.; one son, Jon Weiland of Tampa, Fla.; four stepchildren, Tina (Lenny) Pierce, Jay (Valerie) Gombos, Dee (Tom) Bloom and Dan (Nancy) Ritenour; his stepgrandchildren, Kiesha, Dave, Tomi, Ben, Jonathan, Travis, Jake, Justina, Nathan, Kris, Megan, Cody, Kate, Tori and Amanda; eight stepgreat-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Raymond was preceded in death by his brother, Donald (Sam) Weiland; and his brother-in-law, James Coyle Jr.

WEILAND — Per his request, there will not be visitation hours or viewing for Raymond H. Weiland, who died Saturday, Jan. 2, 2021.

Funeral arrangements were held privately at Eloise B. Kyper Funeral Home, Glenshaw.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at a later date.
