Ambrose J. Polena
Ambrose J. Polena, 82, of Cabot passed away on Jan. 19, 2021, surrounded by his loving family at the Good Samaritan Hospice Unit at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born April 17, 1938, in Valencia, he was the son of Ambrose C. Polena and Severina M. Rubrecht Polena.
Ambrose served in the U.S. Air Force.He worked as a welder for Pullman Standard, until it closed, and then managed a horse breeding farm in Cabot.He was a member St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot, and the Bakerstown American Legion.He enjoyed hunting, going to his camp in Clearfield County, fixing things and his Wheel Horse tractors.Surviving are his wife, Arlene (Rearick) Polena, whom he married Jan. 17, 1964; his daughter, Cheryl (John) Grossi of Cabot; his son, Michael J. (Jayme) Polena of Sarver; two brothers, Paul (Christina) Terek of Allison Park, and Martin (Rosa) Terek of South Dakota; his sister, Dolores Terek of Lexington, Ky.; five grandchildren, Geoffrey W. (Tracey) Miller Jr., Shelbee L. Polena, Victory J. Michalski, Kaylee M. Polena and Nash A. Michalski; and two great-granddaughters, Adalyn A. Miller and Clara D. Miller.He was preceded in death by his parents; his stepfather, Michael Terek; and one sister, Rose (Polena) Bailey.POLENA — There will be no visitation for Ambrose J.
