Vance C. Gallagher
Vance C. Gallagher, 76, of Butler died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021.
Born Feb. 21, 1944, in Butler, he was the son Vance C. Sr. and Margaret (Greenwood) Gallagher.
A U.S. Navy veteran, he served during the Vietnam era.
Vance was a lifelong journeyman roofer, and a member of Local Union 37.
He enjoyed watching drag races, and will be remembered for his elaborate outdoor Christmas decorations every year.
Vance is survived by two daughters, Melinda Gallagher of Pittsburgh, and Arianne Gallagher (fiancé Paul Welcher) of Washington, D.C.
He is also survived by his former spouse, Barbara Gallagher of Chicora; one sister, Terry Wimer of Ellwood City; one sister-in- law, Shirley Gallagher of Butler; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Sean Michael Gallagher; one brother, Arthur Gallagher; and two sisters, Janet Yonkers and Marietta Lyznicki.
GALLAGHER — Services for Vance C. Gallagher, who died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2021, will be private.
He will be buried in St. Eusebius Cemetery.
Arrangements are under the direction of Buechele Funeral Home and Cremation Services, East Brady.
The Gallagher family asks that memorials be made to St. Eusebius Cemetery, 301 E. 1st St., East Brady, PA 16028.
