Irene M. Kosich
Irene M. Kosich, 95, of Butler, passed away on Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, while under the care of New Haven Court at Clearview in Butler.
Born Nov. 7, 1925, in Dixonville, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Louis Kluchurosky and Irene Bachkor Kluchurosky.
Irene was a member at the former St. Matthias Catholic Church, and was a current member of St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church.
She owned and operated, with her late husband, John’s Bar and Grill in Evans City for 53 years.
She enjoyed bingo and shopping. Above all, Irene loved her family, her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered.
Irene leaves behind, to cherish her memory, her children: John (Sherry) Kosich of San Francisco, Edward (Terri) Kosich of Evans City and Pat (Tony) Yenick of Zelienople; her grandchildren, Nichole “Nicki” and her husband, Andy; Dustin “Dusty” and his wife, Michelle, Chase, and Cambree; and her great-grandchildren, Paisley and Linkoln.
In addition to her parents, Irene was preceded in death by her husband, John S. Kosich, whom she married on July 2, 1949 and who passed away on Aug. 5, 2006.
KOSICH — A Mass of Christian burial for Irene M. Kosich, who died Sunday, Jan. 31, 2021, will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday at St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, with the Rev. John P. Gallagher officiating.
Irene will be laid to rest at the Evans City Cemetery.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Boylan Funeral Home, 116 E. Main St., Evans City.
Donations may be made in Irene’s honor to St. Gregory Roman Catholic Church, 2 W. Beaver St., Zelienople, or to Monarch Hospice, 2837 Leechburg Road, New Kensington, PA 15068.
