Fugitive captured in Westmoreland County, returned to Butler
“Butt Butt” is behind bars after his arrest Saturday after spending more than a year as a fugitive.
Lamont A. “Butt Butt” Franklin Jr., 20, allegedly tried to run from New Kensington Police shortly before his arrest.
Franklin, who was listed as homeless but has known ties to Butler, was arraigned Sunday on three sets of charges, the latest being related to his fleeing from police. He has since been moved to Butler County Prison, where he remains on a combined bail amount of $150,000.
Franklin has eluded police since he was charged in February 2020 in connection with a home invasion and burglary in Butler.
