Louis A. Dietz Jr.

Louis A. Dietz Jr., 80, of Saxonburg passed away on April 5, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Born Aug. 15, 1940, in Natrona Heights, he was the son of the late Louis A. Dietz Sr. and Hazel Bowersox.

Louis was a graduate of Har-Brack High School.

He retired from Saxonburg Ceramics after 42 years, where he worked as a millwright.

He was a lifelong modified fast-pitch softball player, playing in many leagues in the area. Louis enjoyed bowling, fishing, hunting and spending time with his family, especially his great-granddaughter, Lexi.

Surviving are his loving wife, Mary E. (Callen) Dietz, whom he married Aug. 13, 1960; his children, Tim (Katie) Dietz of Butler, Dave Dietz of Saxonburg, and Marcy (Regis) Boyle of Clermont, Fla.; eight grandchildren, Tyler, Amber, Jacob, Lauren, Derek, Ashley, Zachary and Kaleb; four great-grandchildren, Lexi, Tilly, Laurel and Corbin; and his sister, Jeanne Nicastro of Venice, Fla.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Louis Brian Dietz; one brother; and three sisters.

DIETZ — Visitation and services will be private for Louis A. Dietz Jr., who died Monday, April 5, 2021.
