Gloria M. Marte, 89, of Butler, passed away peacefully after an extended illness on Monday, April 5, 2021, at the home of her daughter in Murrysville.

She was born March 27, 1932, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Alferd E. Dunn and Olive J. Hutchison Dunn.

She was a 1950 alumni graduate of Butler Area High School, and she attended Oak Hills Christian Church (Disciples of Christ).

Gloria is survived by her daughter, Jodie (Paul) Stevenson of Murrysville; her brother, Dale E. (Karen) Dunn of Butler; two nieces; and four nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Francis G. Marte, whom she married on Aug. 30, 1958, and who passed away on Oct. 6, 2014; one brother, Carl Ray Dunn; and two sisters, Agnes Geraldine Uber and Freda L. McElhaney.

MARTE — A private visitation and funeral service for Gloria M. Marte, who died Monday, April 5, 2021, will be held Thursday, April 8, 2021, with Pastor Rob Gillgrist officiating.

A private burial will be held in Butler County Memorial Park.

Arrangements were handled by Thompson-Miller Funeral Home, 124 E. North St., Butler.
