Arthur “Lee” Gold, 87, of Hooker, passed away Tuesday, April 13, 2021, at his home after a short illness.

Lee was born Jan. 11, 1934, in Butler, and was a son of the late Leonard E. Gold and the late Ruth Marie (Clark) Gold.

He graduated from Hooker High School and worked at Pullman Standard Railroad Manufacturing until its closing, later retiring from Armco Steel.

Lee was an avid hunter, loved fishing and loved target shooting. He also enjoyed going to the races at Lernerville and watching his Country Western movies. He was a life member of the NRA and the Butler Hunting and Fishing Club.

Lee is survived by one daughter, Shelby (Daryl) Young of Butler; one son, Greg (Narintra) Gold of West Sunbury; seven grandchildren; eight great- grandchildren; four stepchildren, Terri Patterson of West Sunbury, Jeffrey Morrow of Karns City, Douglas Morrow of Karns City and Kent Morrow of Butler; and several stepgrandchildren.

Lee was preceded in death by his wife, one son, one sister and one brother.

GOLD — Services and burial for Arthur “Lee” Gold, who died Tuesday, April 13, 2021, were held privately in Concord Cemetery.

Arrangements were handled by William F. Young Funeral Home, West Sunbury.
