MIDDLESEX TWP — Residents at Wednesday night's supervisors meeting applauded efforts made by township manager Adam Hartwig to keep township operations running smoothly.

Ken Staresinic said he came to the meeting to specifically acknowledge Hartwig's help in a roadwork matter near his home along Denny Road.

“Historically, that's never been a smooth event,” Staresinic said.

This time, however, Staresinic said Hartwig and the leader of the contracting crew communicated with him and his wife before the work began.

“We talked through what they were going to do, what we had concerns about,” Staresinic said. “That was a very good experience.”

Staresinic said it felt good to be able to tell supervisors that.

Susan Salter told supervisors Hartwig was very helpful in walking her through a lot line revision.

“A lot of it, I didn't know how to do,” Salter said. “He really went above and beyond.”
