Thomas “Tom” G. Nail

Thomas “Tom” G. Nail, 85, of Butler, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 2, 2021, surrounded by his family in Apex, N.C.

Tom was born March 12, 1935, in Butler. He was the son of the late Harold and Marion Nail. He was born and raised in Butler, but lived in Beaver for over 50 years, and then moved to Portersville.

He was married for 66 years to Dorothy Mae Nail.

Tom served in the National Guard for 10 years.

He raised seven wonderful children with his wife, Dorothy.

He was employed by Westinghouse in Beaver, for 37 years, and many other jobs, including 16 years at the Butler Auto Auction.

Tom loved to travel and camp with his wife in his RV. They had done so for many years.

Tom is survived by his wife, Dorothy Mae (McKissick) Nail; a brother; and two sisters.

He was the father of Debra L. Wilson, Charles F. Nail (LouAnn), Thomas E. Nail (Linda), Margaret L. Allison (Ronald), Scott E. Nail (Sandra), John D. Nail, and Tammy M. Muron (Robert).

He was the grandfather of 15 and the great-grandfather of nine.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister.
