Anna Lauer
Anna Cecelia (Spinelli) Lauer, 95, of Saxonburg passed away peacefully on Monday, April 26, 2021, at Good Samaritan Hospice of Cabot.
Born Feb. 12, 1926, in Wilkinsburg, she was the daughter of Mr. Joseph and Margaret Spinelli.
She is survived by her children, Mrs. Karen (Glen) Fair of Saxonburg, Mrs. Linda (Van) Kozik of Herman, Mr. Jeffery Lauer of Saxonburg, Mr. Robert (Cristina) Lauer of Mars, and Mrs. Christina (Otto) Kessler of Mount Lebanon; 15 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Kathleen Jesensky of Long Beach, Calif.
She was preceded in death by her son, Mr. Joseph Lauer; and her granddaughter, Jessica Lauer.
Anna loved music and had a great set of pipes, singing in a jazz band, live on the radio in Punxsutawney in her early days. The simple pleasures in life brought her great joy. She loved hosting large family gatherings, making her generational family pasta sauce and relaxing over a cold beer. She loved watching football on Sundays and bled black and gold as an avid Steelers fan. Her pleasant, fun-loving personality made her very popular within the family as well as with her friends. She was always the life of the party.
A special thanks to the nursing and medical staff at Good Samaritan Hospice.
