Lunch & Learn series set

Armco Credit Union will host a free Lunch & Learn series at 1 p.m. Tuesdays this month at the Mars branch at the intersection of Route 228 and Myoma Road in Mars.

Local small businesses are welcome to attend. Reservations are required.

“We designed this series to provide resources to small businesses that don’t have an HR, marketing or legal department,” said Michele Jurysta, company spokeswoman. “All small businesses are invited to attend including restaurant owners, medical practices and home-based businesses.”

Each week will feature a different topic. A question-and-answer session is planned after each presentation. The schedule includes:

- June 8 — “Small Employer, Big Benefits, Easy Administration.” What will health insurance look like in 2021? What benefits are employees looking for post COVID-19? Adam Seger of Davevic Benefit Consultants will answer these questions and explain how to design a benefits package without breaking the bank. Reservations due Friday.

- June 15 — “Debt Collection and Contract Legal Issues Affecting Small Businesses.” Save time and money by understanding your rights and learn about best practices for contracts and debt collection. Speaking will be corporate lawyer Matthew Marshall, Dillon, McCandless, King, Coulter & Graham. Reservations are due June 11.

- June 22 — “Digital Marketing Tips for Local Businesses.” This workshop provides tips and insights ranging from entry level to more advanced concepts for better online customer engagement. Explore platforms such as Search, Social Media and website best-practices. Speaking will be Jordan Atchison, Corkboard Concepts, chief marketing officer. Registrations due June 18.

- June 29 — “SBA Resources for Your Small Businesses.” A general overview of products and services of the U.S. Small Business Administration will be offered by Angel Marschik, supervisory lender relations specialist with SBA. The SBA can assist businesses throughout their life cycle with loans up to $5 million. Registration is due June 25.
