Loretta Strobel
Loretta J. “Lori” Strobel, 83, of Buffalo Township, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 1, 2021, at Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh,
Lori was born in New Kensington on July 19, 1937, and was a daughter of the late Helen (Bennini) and Albert Benn.
She was a 1956 graduate of Ken High. Lori worked at Moonlight Mushroom in Worthington for four years. She then went on to be co-owner and secretary for New Ken Generator for over 30 years. She was the current caretaker and friend for Gladys Johnson in Sarver. Lori enjoyed time with her family and beloved dog, Annie, activities with her Red Hat group, going on casino trips and playing cards with friends.
Lori is survived by two sons, Mark (Cheryl) Kozma, of Winfield Township, and Joseph (Karen) Kozma, of Buffalo Township; four grandchildren, Michael (Kristen Kelly) Kozma, Daniel (Rachel Barr) Kozma, Jennifer (Andrew) Patton and Greg (Amy) Arnold; six great-grandchildren, Landen and Brooklyn Kozma, Audrey Barr, Sophia and Mason Patton, and Emily Arnold. She also is survived by four sisters, Darlene (Robert) Scott, Alberta Mendicino, Linda (Jim) Smith, and Christine (Dave Coulter) Sparks.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 37 years Dean W. Strobel, who passed away in 2016; her sister, Delores Campbell; and brother, Leroy Benn.
Strobel — Family and friends of Loretta J. “Lori” Strobel, who died Saturday, May 1, 2021, will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Monday in Redmond Funeral Home, 524 High St., Freeport.
A private family funeral service will be held.
