Eleanor Fischer

Eleanor Marie Fischer, 83, of Butler, passed away on May 27, 2021, at her residence.

She was born Oct. 7, 1937, in Chicora, and was the daughter of the late Merle Conn and the late Mary Maxine Miller.

Eleanor was a member of Grace Community Church in Cranberry Township.

She went to Hooker High School in Chicora.

Eleanor enjoyed painting, camping and spending time with family.

Eleanor is survived by her two sons, Thomas (Anita) Fischer of Chicora, and Scott (Robin) Fischer of Portersville; three daughters, Jolyn (Randall) Burns of West Sunbury, Cheryl (Mark) Kretzer of Saxonburg, Debra Fischer Santavicca (longtime companion Dan McCarthy) of Washington, Pa.; six grandchildren, Jill McCurdy of Butler, Adrianna Ewing of Saxonburg, Dana Kearns of Butler, Derek Burns of Chicora, Casey Kretzer of Saxonburg, and Collin Kretzer of Saxonburg; eight great-grandchildren, Karissa Kumpfmiller, Karlee Ewing, Keira Ewing, Maggie McCurdy, Marin McCurdy, Lily Kearns, Elyn Kearns and Grey Kearns.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John G. Fischer, whom she married on Dec. 28, 1954, and who passed away on Jan. 24, 2009; one granddaughter, Ashtin A. Vaughan; and her great-grandson, Archer A. Vaughan.

FISCHER — There will be no public visitation for Eleanor Marie Fischer, who died Thursday, May 27, 2021.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.
