Weltha Myers

Weltha Myers, 98, a resident of Concordia of Cranberry, formerly a lifelong resident of Zelienople, passed away on Tuesday, June 1, 2021.

Born Nov. 4, 1922, in Zelienople, she was the daughter of the late James Perry Myers and Minnie Martin Myers.

Weltha Myers was a member of English Lutheran Church in Zelienople and had been active in the Zelienople Historical Society and Business and Professional Women’s Club.

Miss Myers retired from the Herman Corporation in Zelienople as office manager with 43 years of service.

Weltha and her sisters enjoyed traveling together and had many exciting trips throughout the United States, to Japan, and much of Europe.

Weltha is survived by her nieces, Marjorie Pirie of Morro Bay, Calif., and Sue Ann Alderete of Portland, Ore.; and great-nieces and nephews, Cynda Halin, Barbara (Frank) Hiebert, James Fosnaught, Judd (Sara) Sturgeon, Kirstie (Erik) Ostberg, Natalie Seeman, Michele Alderete and Julie (Bo) Rottenborn, and eight great-great-nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her siblings, LaVon Martin Myers, Mae Myers, Gladys Myers; and niece, Marcella Sturgeon.

Myers — Family and friends of Weltha Myers, who died Tuesday, June 1, 2021, will be received from 10 a.m. until the time of the funeral service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Boylan Funeral Home, 324 E. Grandview Ave., Zelienople, with the Rev. Jack Delk of English Lutheran Church, officiating.

She will be laid to rest at English Lutheran Church Cemetery in Zelienople.
