Laurence Glenn Jr.

Laurence DeWayne Glenn Jr. of West Sunbury, was born on June 22, 1950, and passed away June 8, 2021.

Larry was a member of West Sunbury United Presbyterian Church.

He graduated from Moniteau High School in 1968, and went to Washington, D.C., for broadcasting training.

He worked briefly for WISR in Butler, and then attended Gannon University in Erie, where he graduated with a degree in electrical engineering. Throughout his career, Larry worked for several engineering companies coast to coast. He retired from Central Chief in Bradford, Pa.

Larry enjoyed golfing and was a super sports fan, particularly baseball. He had a quick wit, and a fierce love and loyalty to his family.

He is survived by his mother, Dolores Hilgar Glenn; his sister, Gail (John) Varine; his nephew, Patrick (Aubrey) Varine; his niece, Rachel (Greg) Grumet; and his great- nephews, Anthony Byron Varine and James “Jamie” Glenn Grumet.

Larry is also survived by his last remaining aunt and uncle, Shirley Hilgar McCandless and Don McCandless.

Larry was preceded in death by his father, Laurence DeWayne Glenn.

GLENN — Visitation for Laurence DeWayne Glenn Jr., who died Tuesday, June 8, 2021, will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, June 10, 2021, and from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held following visitation at 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev. Gary Lyon of Crossroads Community Presbyterian Church in Leechburg officiating.

Burial will be in West Sunbury Union Cemetery.
