Dorothy Ellen “Dot” Daugherty Toth Snyder, 90, of Parker passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021, at her residence.

Dorothy was born Oct. 11, 1930, in Butler. She was the daughter of the late Anthony L. Daugherty Sr. and the late Anna R. Christie Daugherty.

Dorothy was a member of St. Faustina Parish. She was also a member of the North Washington VFD Ladies Auxiliary, the Hiland Golf League and bowling leagues at the Bruin Lanes.

Dorothy had been employed at Allegheny Plastics and in housekeeping at Grove City College.

Dorothy is survived by two daughters, Susan (Charles) Hilliard of Slippery Rock and Luellen M. Schmidt of Parker; two stepdaughters, Cindy (Wayne) Withers of Coral Gables, Fla., and Connie (Ron) Geibel of Butler; one stepson, Terry (Sharon) Snyder of Karns City; 13 grandchildren and stepgrandchildren, Stephanie (Cole), Laura (Armando), Matthew, Brandon (Nikki), Ryan (Packy) (Nicole), Jason (Jackie), Nicole (Dan), Jamie, Brady (Adam), Emily (Trent), Ashley (Reiny), Taylor (Stephanie), and Shaefer (Marcos); and several great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are five sisters, Anna Sweeney of Butler, Marion Strong of Gilbertsville, Pa., Donna Weiland of Oak Forest, Ill., Peggy Brainard of Warren, Ohio, and Mary Jane Furey of Fenelton; and a number of nieces and nephews.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Louis V. Toth; her second husband, Franklin R. Snyder; two sisters; and three brothers.

SNYDER — The family of Dorothy Ellen “Dot” Daugherty Toth Snyder, who died Sunday, June 27, 2021, will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. Sunday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

A blessing service will follow at 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home with Father Adam Verona of St. Faustina Parish officiating.

Burial will be in Eau Claire Cemetery.
