William “Bill” Sherman

William “Bill” Sherman went to be with the Lord Wednesday, July 14, 2021, at 78 years of age.

He was a graduate of Slippery Rock University and a retired pharmaceutical sales representative for Wyeth. Bill was a life member of The Elks and 30+ year member of the Sons of Italy. He was an avid golfer and bowler who loved all sports. Bill passed away peacefully in Richmond, Va.

Born June 20, 1943, in Glassport, Pa., he was preceded in death by his father, William B. Sherman; mother, Josephine Gretz; and sister, Cathy Gretz.

He is survived by his son, Jeffrey Sherman (Shannon) of Myrtle Beach; daughter, Michelle Rittenhouse (David) of Richmond; sister, Kimberly Gretz of Johnstown; brother, Charles Gretz of Glassport; and grandchildren, Alicia Mastry, Richard Sherman, Nicole Rittenhouse and William Rittenhouse.

Sherman — A memorial service for William “Bill” Sherman, who died Wednesday, July 14, 2021, is to be held at the discretion of the family.

Donations in his honor welcomed at The Salvation Army and St. Michael's church in Butler.
