For more than 50 years, Harmony Lodge No. 429 in Zelienople has hosted an ox roast meal. On Saturday, Harmony Lodge will sell its roast beef meals to go at its building at 330 E. Beaver St. for its “Ox-in-a-Box” fundraiser.

The lodge used local companies for the Ox-in-a-Box meal’s ingredients, such as Wright’s Meat and Smoke House and Marburger Farm Dairy.

Adults pay $13.50 per meal, while children’s meals cost $6.

Jeff Kroner of Harmony Lodge said the money made from the community meal goes towards the lodge by supporting its daily operations and community outreach efforts.

“Our presales are stronger than most years that we’ve had,” Kroner said. “We’re not going to have an unlimited amount of meals for people to drive up and buy, but we’ve had a very strong support so far this year. Our whole goal is to make impacts in the community in a positive way.”
