Bette L. Minto

Bette L. Minto, 83, of Connoquenessing, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021, surrounded by her loving family.

She was born Oct. 11, 1937, in Butler, to the late Francis Shaffer and the late Louella Stevenson Shaffer.

Bette worked as a registered nurse for Butler Memorial Hospital. She volunteered for the Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels and the Butler Surgical Center on Benbrook Road.

She loved serving the Lord over everything. Serving was very important to her.

Bette loved to cook and bake and spending time with her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. If there was a need of any kind, she always helped.

Bette loved her friends and played cards with them once a month.

Bette is survived by her son, Mark Minto, and his wife, Marnita, of Renfrew; three daughters, Lisa A. White and her husband, Jeff, of Butler, LuEllen Gall and her husband, Tim, of Connoquenessing, and Michele Krause and her husband, Mark, of New Castle; nine grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and one sister, MaryAnn Talley, and her husband, Sanders, of Scottsboro, Ala.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Paul R. Minto, whom she married April 22, 1958, and who passed away May 16, 2002; one sister; one brother; and one grandson.

MINTO — There will be no public visitation for Bette L. Minto, 83, of Connoquenessing, who died Saturday, Aug. 7, 2021.

Family and friends are welcomed to a celebration of life for Bette, which will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 11, at Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, with Pastor Bonnie Rupp, officiating.

Private burial was held at Butler County Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Connoquenessing Meals on Wheels, 102 Shannon Road, Renfrew, PA 16053, or Connoquenessing United Methodist Church, PO Box 176, Connoquenessing, PA 16027.

Arrangements were handled by THOMPSON-MILLER FUNERAL HOME, 124 E. North St., Butler.
