Ines S. Miller
Ines S. Miller passed away Friday, Aug. 20, 2021.
Born in Rome, Italy, on Jan. 8, 1928, she was the daughter of the late Aurelio Corizza and Elena Rossi Corizza.
She was preceded in death by her brothers, Sergio and Giovanni Corizza; her husband, John P. Miller Sr.; son, John P. Miller Jr.; and daughter, Joy Schiavone.
She is survived by son-in-law, Anthony Schiavone of Cranberry Township. She is also survived by daughter, Sylvia Miller Carter; son-in-law, Scott Carter of Marietta, Ga.; five grandchildren, Michell Carter and Shelly Carter of Decatur, Ga., Brandi Miller of Hawaii, and Anthony P. Schiavone, Ann, Michael Schiavone of Pittsburgh; two great-grandchildren, Ethan Schiavone of Pittsburgh, Orion Miller of Hawaii and Brewster, N.Y. She is also survived by close relatives in Italy.
Ines met her husband in Rome, Italy, after World War II. After time with the military they settled in South Carolina, where she had a career as a bridal consultant with JB Whites. She later relocated to Cranberry Township. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 1951 and continued to be proud of her Italian heritage, which was reflected in her amazing cooking. She was generous, loving and caring. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.
