Butler Twp
6:23 p.m. Sept. 23 — Police responded to a two-vehicle crash on New Castle Road in Butler township.
Police said a vehicle driven by a 17-year-old boy from Renfrew hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Stephanie Vicari, 43, of Butler.
Police said the teen suffered a leg injury, and was cited for speeding.
11:56 p.m. Sept. 16 — Police responded to for a hit-and-run crash at Sheetz in Butler Township.
Police said Tiffany English, 42, of Butler, lost control of her vehicle and hit an embankment in front of Sheetz. Police said she then fled the scene. Her charges include careless driving, speeding and other summary traffic offenses.
Buffalo Twp
Sept. 17 — Douglas J. Sherbondy, 51, of Scottdale, was charged with a first-offense DUI, related to a report of someone slumped in their vehicle on the Freeport Bridge.
Police said they found Sherbondy slumped forward in his still running vehicle. Police said they smelled alcohol in the vehicle, and field sobriety tests showed he was impaired.
Police said a later blood test showed Sherbondy’s blood-alcohol content at .21%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.
State Police, Butler
Sept. 20 — John D. Clark, 54, of Butler, was charged with selling drugs and misdemeanors of tampering with evidence, drug possession and disorderly conduct related to a May 16 domestic dispute at a Center Township home.
Police said they found five marijuana plants being grown in the back yard, and they were informed they were Clark’s. Police said during their investigation and while the plants were unsupervised, Clark exited the home, returned inside the home and began disposing of the marijuana.
1:09 p.m. Sept. 17 — Charles W. Burgess, 28, of Slippery Rock, was charged with felony counts of theft and unlicensed gun possession, related to a traffic stop on Interstate 79 in Worth Township.
Police said when asked if there were weapons in the vehicle, Burgess told troopers there was a loaded .380 pistol in his backpack.
Police said Burgess told troopers he found the gun.
Sept. 17 — Dylan D. Koedel, 23, of Sarver, was charged with felony counts of theft and possessing stolen property related to a pickup truck.
Police said a woman loaned the truck to Koedel, and he sold it without her permission for $800.
Sept. 16 — Raymond J. Sanderson, 23, of Butler, was charged with two felony counts forgery and two misdemeanor counts of theft, related to an April 29 incident.
Police said Sanderson forged his grandmother’s signature on checks to himself. Police said this allowed Sanderson to fraudulently cash about $375 in checks from his grandmother’s account.
Police said they have been unable to contact Sanderson.
Sept. 16 — Lucas E. West, 28, of Slippery Rock, was charged with a first-offense DUI, following a two-vehicle crash on the 600 block of Franklin Road in Slippery Rock Township.
Police said West had been driving a farm tractor, and he admitted the lights did not work. Police said field sobriety tests showed West was impaired.
Police said a later breath test showed West’s blood-alcohol content at .117%, and in Pennsylvania, a level of .08% is considered intoxicated.
