Wayne Wilson

On the second of September, after struggling with medical conditions, Wayne was assured a place in Heaven. He passed away peacefully with family by his side in Huntersville, N.C.

Raised in Butler, he worked most of his life in the beer distribution business, as well as steelwork at Pullman Standard.

He cherished spending time with his family, especially his wife of 52 years. He was an avid golfer, bowler, hunter and fisherman and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda Wilson of Stanley, N.C.; his son, Eric Wilson (Nikki) of Bristow, Va.; daughter, Chrissy Sauer (Eric) of Denver, N.C.; and three grandchildren, Ryan, Seth and Ellyse. Also surviving is a brother, Brian Wilson of Coeur d’Alene, Idaho and Bernadine Glocker of Hummelstown, Pa.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Floyd and Gertrude Wilson, as well as a grandson, Nathan.

wilson — The memorial Mass for Wayne Wilson, who died Thursday, Sept. 2, 2021, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 7, 2021, at St. Mark Catholic Church in Huntersville, N.C.

There will be a one hour visitation prior to the Mass starting at 10 a.m.

Donations in his name can be made to the National Arthritis Foundation.

James Funeral Home, of Huntersville, is serving the family and obituary lovingly written by the family.
