Dale W. Wittenmeyer
Dale W. Wittenmeyer, 66, of Washington Township, died Sunday, Sept. 5, 2021, at Armstrong County Memorial Hospital in Kittanning.
He was born Jan. 29, 1955, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, and was the son of Jean Warman Wittenmeyer of Harmony and the late Gene Wittenmeyer. He had been a resident of Washington Township since 2017, having previously resided in Sarver and Saxonburg.
Mr. Wittenmeyer was a retired U.S. Army veteran of the Persian Gulf War, and had worked as a mechanic for the Pittsburgh Port Authority.He enjoyed going to NASCAR races and fishing, especially at Moraine State Park.In addition to his mother, he is survived by his wife of 17 years, Ruth A. Cooper Wittenmeyer; two stepsons, Michael (Renee) Sallach of Lower Burrell, and Clifton (Rachel) Sallach of Guyton, Ga.; his grandchildren, Amelia, Tyler, Kayla, Logan and Gabrielle Sallach, and Jordan Dellinger; two sisters, Karen (Ron) Martin and Kathy (Mike) Bucci, both of Harmony; and two nieces, Emily (Stephen) Bendig and Jen (Shane) McKillop.In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his grandmother, Berdella Warman and a nephew, Sam Bucci.WITTENMEYER — Friends of Dale W.
