Marion C. Campbell

Marion C. Cornelius Campbell, 79, of New Castle, an avid baker and cat lover, passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

Born Aug. 8, 1942, in Indiana, Pa., she was the daughter of the late Harry “Cap” and Mary Ellen Miller Leise.

She was Presbyterian, and enjoyed attending Crossroads Church in Cranberry Township.

After 18 years, she retired as an anesthesia technician from the former St. Francis Hospital in New Castle.

Marion will be remembered for baking cookies, gardening, cooking, and her love for family and friends. She loved her fur babies, and adored her grandbabies, Marcus and Hannah, as they were her pride and joy.

She is survived by her husband, Earl Campbell, whom she married July 18, 2004; her children, Terry W. (Debbie) Cornelius of New Castle and Sheila R. (Robert C.) Lubert of Sewickley; her grandchildren, Marcus F. Lubert and Hannah M. Lubert of Sewickley; two stepsons; several stepgrandchildren and four stepgreat-grandchildren; and her brothers, Donald Leise of Ellwood City and Richard Leise of Glens Falls, N.Y.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William F. Cornelius, who passed away July 20, 1996; her brother, Harry “Bud” Leise; and her sister, Thelma Heasley.

CAMPBELL — Visitation for Marion C. Cornelius Campbell, who died Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, will be held from 2 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Raisley Funeral Home and Cremation Services, 387 Main St., Prospect.

Additional visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the time of service at 2 p.m. Friday at the funeral home with Julie Moran, her stepgranddaughter from the Crossroads Church officiating.

Interment will be held at Mountville United Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Portersville.

Per Marion's wishes in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Animal Friends, 562 Camp Horne Road, Pittsburgh, PA 15237.
