Carole Marie Boice
Carole Marie Boice, 67, of Butler, passed away Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.
Born March 25, 1954, in Butler, she was a daughter of the late John and Leonora Gulchik Peplowski.
Carole worked as a machinist at Oberg Industries. She retired in 2019.
She loved the outdoors and doing yardwork. She enjoyed bowling, and she particularly loved taking day trips with her soulmate and best friend, Jim Somerville. But what perhaps gave her the greatest satisfaction was the clowns she handcrafted and donated to patients at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh.
Carole is survived by one son, William Boice of Butler; one daughter, Michelle Parsons of Butler; three grandchildren, Johnny Parsons of North Carolina, Caitlin Parsons of Alverton, Pa., and Racheal Sinks of Girard, Ill.; one brother, John Michael Peplowski of East Butler; three sisters, Leona Osche and her husband, Gary, of East Butler, Joann Collins of East Butler, and Debra Toward of Sarver; her soulmate, Jim Somerville of Butler; three stepchildren, Jeannette Lynn Somerville of Erie, Thomas James Somerville and his wife, Angela, of Somerset, and James Thomas Somerville and his wife, Renae, of Rockwood, Pa.; eight stepgrandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Boice, who passed away Aug. 20, 2010; one sister, LuAnn Lopiccolo; and one brother-in-law, Carl Lopiccolo.
BOICE — Friends of Carole Marie Boice, who died Saturday, Oct. 16, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Martin Funeral Home, 429 Center Ave., Butler.
Funeral services and burial will be private.
