Dolores A. Hickey

Dolores A. Hickey, 87, of Saxonburg, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, at Quality Life Services, Sugar Creek Rest.

Born Oct. 29, 1933, in Saxonburg, she was the daughter of the late Seibert Eckel and Esther Smyers Eckel.

She was a stay-at-home mom. Later, she worked at Callen's Roadside China as a sales clerk.

Dolores was a member of the Thorn Creek United Methodist Church.

She enjoyed baking bread and cookies. Dolores loved spending time with her friends and family.

Surviving are her loving daughters, Mary (Ronald) Croushore of Harrisburg and Sally (Arthur) Lingenfelter of Leechburg; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and her sisters, Marie (Ronald) Riggs of Butler and Kathy (Thomas) Marsh of Mars.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Merle Hickey Sr.; her son, Merle “Bud” Hickey Jr.; four sisters; and one brother.

HICKEY — Friends of Dolores A. Hickey, who died Saturday, Oct. 23, 2021, will be received from 3 to 6 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.

A funeral service will follow at 6 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Brian Shirey officiating.

Interment will follow in Greenlawn Burial Estates.
