Earl Wayne “Wayner” Barry, 72, of Slippery Rock, passed away at Transitions Nursing Home in Harrisville, on Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, after several years of declining health.

Wayne was born Jan. 13, 1949, in California, Mo., to Alfred Earl Barry and Mary Ruth Halford Barry.

He married M. Susan Kisow on Dec. 4, 1987.

He was a self-employed carpenter by trade.

Wayne graduated from high school in California, Mo., and was an avid fisherman and ardent NASCAR race fan.

Survivors include his wife, M. Susan at home; five sons, Philip (Sara) Barry of Kansas City, Mo., Neal (Nicole) Jackson of West Sunbury, Ben Barry of Kansas City, Ryan (Stacey) Jackson of Boyers, and Wayne (Katelyn) Barry of Harrisville; and 12 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Carl Jackson, who passed away on Aug. 30, 2013; his grandson, Braedon Jackson; and his infant grandson, Luke.

BARRY — The family of Earl Wayne “Wayner” Barry, who died Saturday, Oct. 30, 2021, will receive friends from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 2, 2021, and from 10 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Smith Funeral Home, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock. The Rev. James Lewis will be officiating the service.

Private interment will follow at the Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
