Robert G. Hemphill

Robert G. Hemphill of Saxonburg, passed away on Nov. 1, 2021.

Born April 22, 1947, and was the son of the late Robert Clyde Hemphill and the late Augusta (Graham) Hemphill in Sarver.

Robert was a first sergeant in the U.S. Army, having served in Vietnam.He worked at Thoma's Meat Market, Risch's Market, and at International Staple for over 35 years, and as a school bus driver for W.L. Roenigk.He enjoyed farming, NASCAR, the Steelers, and spending time with his granddaughters.He was a member of the Clinton Church of Saxonburg. He served on the session board for many years.Survivors include his wife, Bonnie (Grey) Hemphill, whom he married in 1973; his son, Robert C. (Amanda) Hemphill of Wexford; his granddaughters, Mackenzie and Miranda; his three sisters, Ruth Black, Cheryl (Gary) Kelly and Lori (Dave) Drane; one brother, Tim (Mary Lou) Hemphill; a sister-in-law, Edna Hemphill.He is also survived by eight nieces and nephews, and several great-nieces and great-nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents; and one brother, David Clyde Hemphill.HEMPHILL — Friends of Robert G. Hemphill, who died Monday, Nov. 1, 2021, will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home with the Rev.
