These items were collected from various police departments:

Nov. 24 — John W. Brown, was charged with misdemeanor simple assault, related to a Nov. 24 domestic incident at his home on the 100 block of Joe Lane, Valencia.Police said they talked with Brown and his girlfriend about an altercation. The girlfriend told officers Brown had hit her in the forehead with a cane and then he hit a dog. Police said they saw a red mark on the woman's forehead.Brown told officers nothing happened.

Nov. 23 — Melinda J. Buczko, 35, of Butler, was charged with a first-offense DUI, following an Oct. 30 vehicle crash on the 300 block of White Avenue in Butler.Police said they arrived at the scene of a two-vehicle crash, and they talked with Buczko, who had two children in the vehicle. Police said Buczko told officers she and her boyfriend had been fighting, and she accidentally hit the gas pedal which caused the crash.Police said the boyfriend arrived and claimed her story was untrue. He told officers she had been drinking. Police said field sobriety tests showed she was impaired.

Nov. 22 — Mark A. Cook, 38, of Butler, was charged with two felony counts of possessing contraband as an inmate, following a court appearance Nov. 18.Police said Cook was searched before being returned to Butler County Prison, and officers found several rocks of crack cocaine in a plastic bag in his jacket.

Nov. 23 — Gabrielle A. Interval, 28, of Butler, was charged with felony drug sales and misdemeanor drug paraphernalia possession, related to a Nov. 23 search of her home.Police said during the search, they found a digital scale, $140, one full stamp bag of heroin and about 100 unused stamp bags. Police said Interval later admitted to selling heroin.

5:54 p.m. Dec. 2 — Police responded to to a two-vehicle crash on Route 8 in Butler Township.Police said a vehicle driven by Jonathan Smathers, 35, of Butler, hit the rear of a vehicle driven by Dillon Weston, 28, of Butler. No injuries were reported. Smathers was cited for speeding.4 p.m. Dec. 2 — Police resopnded to a three-vehicle crash on Route 68 in Butler Township.Police said William Lutz, 75, of Butler, failed to stop for traffic and struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Virginia Cuda, 73, of Butler. Cuda's vehicle was pushed into a vehicle driven by John Pappas, 45, of Butler. No injuries were reported.Nov. 30 — Nicole J. Bell, 21, of Slippery Rock, was charged with misdemeanor theft related to money stolen from her employer.Police said the employer's investigation revealed about $490 stolen by Bell, which they had surveillance video showing multiple incidences of theft.Nov. 30 — Two people have been charged in relation to a retail theft Nov. 15 at Walmart, Butler Township.Kimberly L. Colbert, 39, of Lyndora, was charged with misdemeanor retail theft and possession of stolen property, and Larry D. Collingwood, 52, of Lyndora, was charged with misdemeanor aiding in criminal conpsiracy.Police said a store employee found an empty home theater projector box and a boot box containing a women's tennis shoes.Police said they watch video surveillance showing Colbert first picking out a jacket and putting it on. Police said Collingwood later brought the box of boots to Colbert, who later puts them on. Police said Colbert also picked out the projector and had placed it in her purse.Police said Colbert eventually paid for other items in the cart, valued at about $22, but she failed to pay for the projector, the jacket and the boots, valued at about $208.Nov. 24 — Hassan L.R. Brack, 35, of Butler, was charged with misdemeanor illegal use of displayable documents, related to a Sept. 10 traffic stop on Route 68 near Campus Lane, Butler Township.Police said Brack was using the vehicle despite the temporary registration expiring in April.

Nov. 29 — Kenneth E. Anderson Jr., 51, of Butler, was charged with felony welfare fraud, related to SNAP benefits he received in 2019.Investigators said Anderson received the benefits but failed to report an accurate household income because he omitted income gained by one of the people in the household.

Nov. 24 — Jeffrey E. Passauer, 58, of Eau Claire, was charged with misdemeanors simple assault and terroristic threats, related to a Nov. 23 domestic incident on the 300 block of East Main Street, Eau Clair.Police said they talked with two of Passauer's housemates. Police said as one of the housemates returned home, they ran over an extension cord. Passauer allegedly told the housemate he should put a bullet in his head and reached toward a pocket in which he often carries his gun, according police.Passauer told officers he did make the statement, but his gun was inside during the interaction.Nov. 24 — Hanna S. Watterson, 24, of Chicora, was charged with misdemeanors drug and paraphernalia possession, related to a July 8 traffic stop on Fisher Road, Jefferson Township.Police said during the stop, they found Watterson with a stamp bag containing a substance. Watterson told officers the bag contained heroin.
