Rita L. Patchin, 79, of Sligo, passed away Friday, Oct. 1, 2021.

Rita was born on Aug. 11, 1942, in Butler, and was the daughter of the late Kenneth E. Cooper Groom and the late Glady L. Stowe Groom.

Rita was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Rita is survived by one brother, Bruce (Vivian) Groom of North Washington; one son, Marty Patchin, who passed away on Oct. 31, 2021; and several nieces and nephews.Rita was preceded in death by one brother, Dale Groom; and one sister, Gloria Groom Roberts.PATCHIN — A memorial service for Rita L. Patchin, who died Friday, Oct. 1, 2021, and her son, Marty Patchin, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at North Washington Presbyterian Church, 714 Fairview Road, North Washington.Arrangements were handled by William F.
