Adams Twp. Slope Ordinance being revised
This is written in reference to the article regarding the Adams Township Slope Ordinance.
It is important that your readers know this Slope Ordinance has been in the “revision” process since the Public Hearing of Dec. 9, 2019. There has been a small loyal group of residents, I being one, who have attended the planning meetings and work sessions to provide input.
Our focus is to preserve the slopes, protect the natural landscape, guard the environment and notify current residents being affected. We have been working together and moving in a positive direction with the Planning Commission to have a “Slope Ordinance” that sets a “precedent” for surrounding communities to follow.
It wasn’t until recently, the input changed; that being developers attending and lessening the improvements I understood were already agreed upon in the draft. I am not against development; I want development that is consistent with existing zoning, provides safety to our residents and protects the “rural” beauty of our Township.
