Car hits building in Cranberry

CRANBERRY TWP — A Jeep Grand Cherokee crashed into the front of the Absolute Primary Care UPMC building on Route 19 shortly before 11 a.m. Friday.

John Pristas, Cranberry Township Volunteer Fire Company assistant chief, said that a person, who was in the waiting room when the vehicle hit the building, was taken to UPMC Passavant Cranberry by Cranberry Township EMS.

“They were taken as a precautionary measure,” said Tricia Gizienski, building owner.

The building incurred minor structural damage where the vehicle hit the wall.

Cranberry Township police also responded to the scene.
