John K. Follstaedt
John K. Follstaedt, 87, of Butler, passed away Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, at Concordia Lutheran Ministries.
Born Oct. 15, 1934, in Butler, he was the son of the late John P. Follstaedt and Marie Kroneberg Follstaedt.
John was a U.S. Army veteran, serving in Bamberg, Germany, from 1958 to 1959.He worked as a machinist for Armco, retiring after 43 years.He was a lifetime member St. Luke Lutheran Church in Cabot.John was an avid bowler, and enjoyed playing softball and baseball. He also enjoyed hunting. John loved spending time with his beloved grandson, Rowan.Surviving are his loving children, Shawn A. (Kelly) Follstaedt of Butler and Timothy J. Follstaedt of Butler; his grandsons, Rowan Follstaedt of Butler and Yannie Valaziotis of Florida; his sisters, Elaine (Dennis) Gaiser of Petrolia and Marilyn (Carl) Shubert of Irvine, Calif.; and his brothers, Gene (Norma) Follstaedt of Ohio and Don (Carol) Follstaedt of Ohio.In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Follstaedt; his son, Curtis L. Follstaedt; and a brother, Wayne Follstaedt.FOLLSTAEDT — Friends of John K. Follstaedt, who died Sunday, Nov. 21, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 p.m. Friday at Fox Funeral Home, 410 W. Main St., Saxonburg.Services will follow at 4 p.m. with the Rev.
