Edgar Braker Jr.

Edgar T. Brake Jr., 77, of Butler, formerly of Harmony passed away Thursday morning, Nov. 18, 2021, while under the care of The Grove at Harmony.

Born Aug. 8, 1944, in Cabot, he was the son of the late Edgar Brake Sr. and Cora Neupert Brake.

Edgar worked for Robinson Industries in Harmony, with 36 years of service.He was the head designer for blueprints for fans.He served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.Edgar enjoyed woodworking. Together with his son, they built many picnic tables. He loved gardening and working outside.Edgar is survived by his wife, Carol Ann Lewis Edgar, whom he married Feb. 16, 1994, five children, Timothy of Ellwood City and Adam Brake of Nebraska, Doug (Michele) Bigley of Tennessee, Keith (Patty) Marath of New Castle and Mike (Lynn) Hadfield of California, one sister, Ruth McVoy of Butler, five grandchildren, and six great granddaughters.He was preceded in death by three sisters and five brothers.Brake Jr. — Relatives of Edgar T. Brake Jr., who died Thursday, Nov. 18, 2021, will be received from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the A. Carl Kinsey-Ronald N. Volz Funeral Home, 114 W. Spring St., Zelienople.Funeral Services will follow with Pastor Wayne Schar officiating.Burial will take place with full military honors, at 11 a.m. Monday in Pinewood Memorial Park, Cranberry Township.The family has requested memorial donations be made to the Parkinson's Fund, 2001 Ehrman Rd, Rose Schneider YMCA, Cranberry Township, PA 16066.Additional information may be obtained at www.kinsey-volzfuneralhome.com.
