Mary Lou Wolfe Tirk, 72, of West Sunbury, passed away Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, at Butler Memorial Hospital.

Mary Lou was born on Sept. 8, 1949, in Butler County, and was the daughter of the late Glenn Lewis Wolfe and Garnet Fleeger Wolfe.

Mary Lou was a homemaker, and worked at Zanella Milling in West Sunbury for many years.

She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.

Mary Lou is survived by one daughter, Erin I. Tirk of West Sunbury; one son, Wade W. Tirk (Meghan) of Hooker; six grandchildren, Isabel, Danielle, Jess, Hunter, Rowyn and Rory; one brother, James (Pat) Wolfe of Foxburg; and her son-in-law, Will Landsperger.

She was a beloved aunt to many, and was beloved to her sisters-in-law. She was loved by all.

Mary Lou was preceded in death by her husband, Daniel C. Tirk; one daughter, Leigh Ann Landsperger; an infant son, Daniel; three brothers and three sisters.

TIRK — Friends of Mary Lou Wolfe Tirk, who died Sunday, Nov. 28, 2021, will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at William F. Young Funeral Home, 132 Main St., West Sunbury.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Butler.
