Barbara Musko

Barbara Musko, 79, of Marion, Ohio, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, at her home.

Barbara was born June 23, 1942, in Butler, the daughter of Bus and Tillie (Lankewicz) DeMatt.

She was educated in Butler and graduated from Butler Senior High in the Class of 1960.

On June 2, 1962, Barbara was united in marriage to Jim Musko. In 1967, the family moved to Marion, Ohio, where they made their home and raised their two daughters.

Barbara worked 15 years for Marion Home Federal, which later became Savings of America Bank.

Barbara and Jim loved to dance, gliding over the dance floor every Friday and Saturday night at the American Legion. She enjoyed quilting, and will be most remembered for her incredible baking skills. All nine of her grandchildren will treasure the time spent with Mimi baking.

Barbara was deeply devoted in her faith, and was a longtime member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Jim Musko; her children, Amy (Jeff) Baldauf and Monica Hemme; her grandchildren, Jonathan Baldauf, Thomas (Alison) Baldauf, Olivia Hemme, Zeke (Liz) Hemme, Joseph Hemme, Jeremiah Hemme, Gus Hemme, Zemme Hemme and Teklu Hemme; her great-grandchildren, Lucy and Virginia Belle Hemme; and her sisters-in-law, Kathy DeMatt and Helen Musko.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Raymond DeMatt; and her nephew, Brian DeMatt.

MUSKO — Visitation for Barbara Musko, who died Tuesday, Dec. 7, 2021, was held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 10, 2021, at Snyder Funeral Home, Gunder/Hall Chapel, 347 West Center St., Marion, Ohio.

A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 11, 2021, at St. Mary Catholic Church, 251 N. Main St., Marion, Ohio, with Father Kyle Tennant officiating.

If so desired, donations may be made to Heartland Hospice.
