Samuel W. Magill Jr., 40, of Saxonburg, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022.

Born on Jan. 27, 1981, in Ellwood City, he was the son of Sue and Samuel W. Magill Sr. of Saxonburg.

Sam was employed by Joe Paterson in Butler. Joe was a special person and always went out of his way for Sam. They were very fond of each other.

He loved classic cars, especially the red ’66 Chevelle. He enjoyed going to truck pulls and was a great fan of baseball, football and the Steelers. Above all else, Sam loved his children and family.

He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his two sons, Samuel W. Magill III of Saxonburg and Brody Parks of West Sunbury; a brother, Edward Verbanac of Saxonburg; and a sister, Theresa (Terry) Durci of Saxonburg, and her three daughters, Gabrielle, Hannah and Isabella.

He is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was preceded in death by a maternal uncle, Ron Fester.

MAGILL — Friends of Samuel W. Magill Jr., who died Wednesday, Jan. 12, 2022, will be received from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday and from 2 to 4 and 6 to 7:30 p.m. Monday at MCDONALD-AEBERLI FUNERAL HOME, 238 Crowe Ave., Mars.

Services will follow at 7:30 p.m. in the funeral home.

Burial will be in Mars Cemetery, Adams Township.
