The Atrium hosts wedding showcase
FRANKLIN TWP — Seventy couples and their families attended The Atrium’s Wedding Showcase on Saturday evening, which featured food, decorations, music and more.
According to wedding coordinator Madison Roxbury, The Atrium hosts the annual event not only for couples who have booked the venue, but also for those who are considering the space for their big day.
“It’s to showcase our vendors as well as who (couples) can give business to in the area,” Roxbury said. “This is our biggest yet with 70.”
Upon arrival, couples were greeted by wedding planners and given a gift bag, then they were free to explore the booths, featuring vendors of all types. There were DJs, musicians, florists, table displays and hair and makeup stylists. The venue’s ceremony space was also set up for couples to view.
To promote safety, Roxbury said each couple and their family was given 10 to 15 minutes to sample food and ask questions of vendors and staff.
Food vendors such as Medure’s Catering, Fairground Market and Harvey’s Sweet Shoppe offered couples hors d’oeuvres, entrees and cookies.
Meanwhile, SpringHill Suites of Butler held a raffle for couples to win a free night stay at the hotel.
Audrianna Bly, general manager of SpringHill Suites, said the event often boasts an impressive turn out.
“I think couples like the experience of seeing their options put together in one place,” Bly said. “There’s a good turn out and good follow-through that turns into bookings for the vendors.”
Tayler English, a bride getting married in fall 2023, said she enjoyed the chance to experience many options at once.
“Being with my family, getting to bring my future in-laws to experience it with me is my favorite part,” English said. “Everything has been so seamless.”
Sydney Sokol, who intends to get married in August 2023, said she was pleased to see the different options she had for decorating.
“When we first toured, it was set up for another wedding,” Sokol said. “I like being able to see how everything can be set up.”
Roxbury said The Atrium’s first goal for the event is to make brides and their families feel comfortable and confident that their day will be a success.
“The second goal is for new and potential couples to get to know us and the vendors we love,” she said.
