Kelly now top Republican on a Ways and Means subcommittee
Rep. Mike Kelly, R-16th, has been appointed as the ranking Republican on the U.S. House of Representatives’ Ways & Means Subcommittee on Select Revenue Measures. The subcommittee focuses on tax policy and revenue generated by the federal government.
Kelly has served on the Ways & Means Committee since 2013, and previously served as ranking member on the Ways & Means Oversight Subcommittee.
Kelly said his position on the subcommittee will allow him to fight to improve opportunities for workers, families and small business owners across the country.
“In my new role, I will work to advance pro-growth policy and to build upon the success of the 2017 Tax Cuts & Jobs Act that created a historically great economy for so many Americans,” Kelly said. “Our new Ways & Means roster is already hard at work on policies that will get America’s economy back on the right track.”
The new appointments to the subcommittee follow the resignation of Rep. Devin Nunes, R-Calif., on Jan. 1.
Kelly will also remain a member of the Ways & Means Health Subcommittee.
